Cipinang and Sunter Rivers Normalization Prioritized in Musrenbang

Cipinang and Sunter rivers normalization has been proposed in the Regional Development Planning Forums (Musrenbang) at Makasar Sub-district level, East Jakarta.

Makasar Sub-district Head, Ari Sonjaya disclosed, such program will be prioritized to be discussed in musrenbang at city level.

"Through musrenbang, we hope normalization project in Cipinang and Sunter rivers could be realized well," he expressed, Wednesday (3/16).

Hundreds of Building Impacted with Semongol River Normalization

He continued that the rivers have not been normalized about 25 years, and then dredged in 2013 that only took one kilometer, which stretches in Makassar and Pinang Ranti urban villages. Consequently, the flood often hits Cipinang Melayu, Halim Perdanakusuma, Makasar and Pinang Ranti urban villages, with water level reached one until two meters along the river.

Some areas that affected flood are in RW 05, 06, 07, 08 Halim Perdana Kusuma, RW 09, 01, 10 Kebon Pala and RW 03, 04, Cipinang Melayu.
